“We gather to make much of Jesus Christ by knowing Him and making Him known.”
To know Jesus and to make Him known is the lifeblood of EastPoint Church. It captures the essence of how we function, do what we do, and believe what we believe.
To Know Him:
To know Jesus doesn’t simply mean that we ‘know’ some facts about Him. To know Jesus is to be in a deeply wonderful relationship with Him. As Christians, we have been saved because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for our sins. This reality effects every part of who we are. We now have freedom from our sins. We have a rich inheritance, and are now adopted sons & daughters of God. As a church, we want to Gospel each other through a variety of platforms: Teaching, studying, prayer, preaching, counseling, community, fellowship, and discipleship. These are a few of the many ways that we get to know Jesus more through the Body of Christ called the Church.
To Make Him Known:
Because we have new life through Jesus, we get to tell others that glorious news. People talk about what they delight in most. Jesus tells us in Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” A disciple is a Christ-follower. Jesus is a disciple’s ultimate treasure, and instead of hoarding that treasure they give it freely to others. We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus by going outside of our walls and telling people in our neighborhoods, workplaces, and families, etc. We also seek to partner with families and ministries who are in long-term and short-term missions to spread the Gospel throughout the world.
