What is a disciple? Bill Clem in his book Disciple: Getting Your Identity from Jesus, essentially defines a disciple as one who has their identity in Christ, which is reflected in ever expanding worship, community, and mission. This is a simple answer, but it encompasses the values of those who call themselves Christian.
At EastPoint, we like to think of our church in two “wings.” The church gathered (Sunday service), and the church scattered (community). Both are essential to being a healthy, growing disciple of Jesus. If you’d like to talk about how we pursue discipleship at EastPoint, check out the pages on community and fight clubs, send us a message to firstname.lastname@example.org, or talk to us on Sunday!
